Terms of Service — EdgeBuilderLab

By accessing or using EdgeBuilderLab (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

EdgeBuilderLab is a cloud-based platform that allows users to configure trading strategies, train machine learning models using historical market data, evaluate model performance through walk-forward validation, and download trained model artifacts. The Service is a digital software tool only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including market manipulation
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Upload malicious content or attempt to gain unauthorized access

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The platform, its code, design, and documentation are the intellectual property of EdgeBuilderLab. Trained models you create using the Service are yours to use as you see fit, subject to these Terms. You retain ownership of your strategy configurations and exported model files.

7. No Financial Advice

The Service does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice. All backtest results are hypothetical. See our Disclaimer for full details.

8. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that trading financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss. You assume full responsibility for any trading decisions you make using models or information obtained from the Service. The Service does not execute trades or manage your money.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDGEBUILDERLAB AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR TRADING LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EdgeBuilderLab and its owners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your use of any models or outputs from the Service in live trading or any other context.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY MODELS WILL BE ACCURATE OR PROFITABLE.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data at any time — see our Privacy Policy.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
